Wilshere meets Capello

Arsenal youngster Jack Wilshere insists he has little or no chance of making the England squad that will travel to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

The 17-year-old - who turns 18 in less than a week's time - has been mooted as the next big thing since Wayne Rooney, and there has been talk surrounding a surprise inclusion in the national set-up, as managers are often fond of gambling with untested quantities on the big stage.

However, the youngster is keeping his feet firmly rooted to the ground, as he intends to establish himself with the Gunners before dreaming of a run in with the Three Lions.

"I’ve met [Fabio] Capello," Wilshere said in an interview with The Times.

"I saw him at an Arsenal game. We were introduced, ‘This is Jack Wilshere,’ and he was, ‘I know, I know’."

He added: "I'd rather there wasn’t the hype. [England talk] is nice to hear but it’s difficult, too. I mean, I can look forward to things but I’m not stupid.
